Black Shark 4 Pro Price and Specifications

 

Xiaomi launched its latest gaming smartphones Black Shark 4 and Black Shark 4 Pro. Both smartphones are the successors to Black Shark 3 and Black Shark 3 Pro which Xiaomi released in March 2020.

As successors, the two gaming smartphones carry a series of improvements, both in terms of design, features, and the type of System-on-Chip (SoC) used. The regular version of Black Shark 4 has a 6.67-inch E4 AMOLED screen with HDR10 Plus resolution (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) and support for refresh rates up to 144 Hz. The Black Shark 4 screen has a touch sampling rate of 720 Hz with an aspect ratio of 20: 9.

Unlike the previous series, the three rear cameras of Black Shark 4 are arranged horizontally in an elongated container, along with an LED Flash. The three cameras consist of a 48 MP (f/1.8) PDAF main camera, an 8 MP ultrawide camera (f/2.2, 120 degrees), and a 5 MP (f/2.4) macro camera.

While the front camera has a resolution of 20 MP (f / 2.0) and is placed in a punch hole. Black Shark 4 carries the Snapdragon 870 5G chipset with 7nm fabrication.

The chipset offers four RAM and storage media options, namely 6 GB / 128 GB, 8 GB / 128 GB, 12 GB / 128 GB, and 12 GB / 256 GB.

Black Shark 4 uses a 4,500 mAh battery and 120 Watt Fast Charging support which is claimed to be able to fully charge in less than 15 minutes as quoted by GSM Arena.

The gaming smartphone runs the Android 11 operating system (OS) with the JoyUI 12.5 interface layer. Other specifications include 5G support, NFC, WiFi 6, a 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5.2, a USB Type-C port, Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by), and a fingerprint sensor (side-mounted). There are four Black Shark 4 color variants to choose from, namely Magic Black, Black, Blue, and Silver.

6 GB/128 GB - 2,499 Yuan (approximately Rp 5.5 million),

8 GB/128 GB - 2,699 Yuan (approximately Rp 6 million)

12 GB/128 GB - 2,999 Yuan (approximately Rp 6.6 million)

12 GB/256 GB - 3,299 Yuan (approximately Rp 7.3 million)

8 GB/256 GB - 3,999 Yuan (approximately Rp 8.9 million),

12 GB/256 GB - 4,499 Yuan (approximately Rp 10 million)

16 GB/512 GB - 5,299 Yuan (approximately Rp 11.8 million)

 

Black Shark 4 Pro

Black Shark 4 Pro carries a 6.67-inch E4 AMOLED screen with HDR10 Plus resolution (1,080 x 2,400 pixels), and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. The Black Shark 4 Pro screen has a touch sampling rate of 720 Hz and an aspect ratio of 20: 9.

The difference with the regular version of Black Shark 4 lies in the chipset carried. Black Shark 4 Pro is equipped with the latest chipset from Qualcomm, Snapdragon 888 (5nm).

There are three RAM and internal storage options available namely 8 GB/256 GB, 2 GB/256 GB, and 16 GB/512 GB.

The gaming smartphone also runs Android 11 OS coated with the JoyUI 12.5 interface. On the back of the Black Shark 4 Pro, there is a shade of the letter "X" and there is an "S" logo that can be lit.

The smartphone has three rear cameras following with LED Flash. The three cameras include a 64 MP (f/1.8) PDAF main camera, an 8 MP ultrawide camera (f/2.2, 120 degrees), and a 5 MP macro camera (f/2.4).

While the front camera has a resolution of 20 MP (f / 2.5). Black Shark 4 Pro is supported by a battery capacity of 4,500 mAh and is also supported by the Fast Charging feature up to 120 Watt. Like a gaming phone, Black Shark 4 Pro has a mechanical pop-up button on one side of the frame.

Other features include 5G connectivity, NFC, Bluetooth 5.2, WiFi 6, fingerprint sensor (side-mounted), 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C, Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by), and a cooling system that is claimed to be able to reduce excessive heat up to 30 percent when the phone is used to play games and can reduce CPU temperature up to 18 degrees Celsius. 

In addition, Black Shark 4 Pro is also equipped with Xiaomi RAMDISK features to allocate storage capacity and improve the performance of certain applications. In the Land of the Bamboo Curtain, Black Shark 4 Pro comes in three color variants, namely Black, Dark Blue, and Silver.
